Looking to the calendar I was surprise as the time is FLYING away, if my calculations are not wrong from my first day at the Skyguide Training Center (10th September 2012), have passed:
- 353 Days
- 11 Months and 19 Days
- 50 weeks
- 8472 hours
- 508.320 minutes
- 30.499.200 seconds!!!
That's AMAZING!
I am really happy to see the end of my training at the STC and the prospect of starting my on the job training (OJT), but if I look back to all those 353 days, I will miss it!
I would like to spent some words about the APS rating, approach is a very dynamic phase of ATC, at the beginning I had my difficulties to handle the traffic because its different from the Tower traffic, but in the last weeks I found it very satisfactory when you finish your shift/run and you look at the screen, I can feel the satisfaction of having placed the traffic in a beautiful sequence and all aircraft landed safely!
I felt during the weeks spent in front of the radar, the desire to improve my technique and be able to provide a better service to aircraft crossing my TMA, fewer delays, continuous descents and regular space on the ILS, I have been captured by the radar screen and their blips!
In two weeks I also have a refresh of my Medical Certificate class 3, just before the start of the MILPORT, a lot things in my agenda... :-)
Stay tuned!
